EMILY CAMMAROTA

Occupational Therapy Student

Emily is a vibrant and dedicated final-year Occupational Therapy student with substantial experience in paediatric care both clinically and as a support worker. She has studied her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) Degree and will graduate in November 2024.

 

She is known for compassionate client-centred care, evidence-based practice, and effective communication and collaboration, and is eager to apply her skills in a dynamic role that supports children and families, making a lasting difference in their lives.

Emily has conducted numerous paediatric assessments and developed tailored therapy plans. She has implemented many play-based activities and provided support and education to parents on therapy goals and strategies.

​

One of Emily's clinical placements in 2024 was with Port Lincoln DCP, where she designed and constructed a sensory wall for the meeting room to foster positive interactions between children and their parents.

​

Emily has also been working as a youth disability support worker, helping with homework and educational activities and supporting self-care skills and social interactions. She also worked to establish and maintain a consistent daily routine.
