Weiyi Xu

Occupational Therapist

Weiyi is a warm, compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children and families to thrive in their everyday lives. Weiyi holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Nanjing Medical University (China), a Master of Science in Rehabilitation from Creighton University (USA), and a Master of Occupational Therapy from Flinders University (Australia), which she completed in 2025.

Before coming to Australia, Weiyi worked as an Occupational Therapist for more than three years, providing services for children across hospitals, private clinics, schools, and orphanages. Throughout her postgraduate studies in Australia, she has remained actively involved in clinical practice as an Allied Health Assistant in paediatric rehabilitation, supporting children and families under the NDIS.

Weiyi has extensive experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and developmental delay, and has had the privilege of working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds around the world.

Weiyi is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure her practice reflects current evidence-based approaches. Her approach to therapy is warm, playful, and family-centred, grounded in a strength-based and holistic perspective that celebrates each child’s uniqueness and individuality. 

 

Weiyi places great importance on helping people and environments around each child to truly understand and respond to them with empathy,recognizing that these environments play a vital role in supporting a child’s development. Weiyi believes that every child learns and grows best when they feel safe, respected, and joyful.
