ANDREA
CERES

Occupational Therapist

Andrea graduated from UniSA with a Bachelor of Applied Science (OT) and has 20 years of experience working in variety of hospital and community settings providing OT services for children and adults.  She has worked in Australia and London.

Andrea has worked with adults and children with a wide variety of conditions including autism, neuromuscular conditions, neurological conditions, acquired brain injury and mental health.  Andrea aims for a holistic approach, focusing on the needs, goals and optimal functional performance of the individual as well as the safety and needs of carers/family. 

Andrea is passionate about enabling individuals to participate fully in their everyday occupations, build their life skills and encourage independence.    She continues to creatively solve problems to meet the needs and goals of individuals along with parents, carers and family.

Andrea has a special interest in working with young adults who have recently been diagnosed with various conditions including Autism and ADHD.
 
Andrea has continued to invest in personal study and attend conferences and workshops to develop her skills as an OT and to provide evidence-based practice.  Andrea has specialized skills in upper limb rehabilitation. 
Andrea has experience with completing standardized assessments, documentation requirements and therapeutic approaches.  Andrea is able to assess if any Assistive Technology/Equipment will assist an individual to achieve a greater independence in everyday activities.
