Miguel joined MSOT in January 2024 and brings with him a love for working with children and extensive experience in OT, working in schools. He grew up and studied OT in Manila, Philippines, graduating in 2011. In 2021, he and his wife moved to Adelaide, and he gained his Registration with AHPRA  (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency) in March 2021.

In Manila, Miguel worked at Headway School of Giftedness, where he worked with children with Autism, ADHD, and Global Developmental Delay. He conducted individual and group OT sessions at school and held parent and teacher conferences. Miguel also worked at H.O.P.E. (Haven of Opportunities for Persons with Exceptionalities) in Quezon City, Philippines, where he conducted the same OT individual and group sessions. He went on to be a Senior OT at Kid’s Haven Intervention and Learning Centre in Pasig City, Philippines, where he had a mixture of supervisory and administrative tasks as well as his own clinical caseload.

In Australia, Miguel worked for Family Time, where he saw children aged 3 to 15 in the clinic and went on to work for Autism Spectrum Australia.

Miguel brings a depth of knowledge and experience, a gentle character, and the ability to connect well with the children he works with. We are all very excited to have him be part of our team of dedicated OTs.
